There is so much conflicting talk (and arguing!) out there about food. You CAN find proof for whatever you want to hear. As with everything in our lives we see the world through our own belief systems and food is no exception!
Personally, I think there is plenty of research out there that makes me believe that a whole foods, less meat, sugar reduced, refined sugar free, neurotoxin free diet is healthier but YOU will have to make your own decisions. Read some but do your own experiments. What happens to your family when you let everyone eat as much sugar as they want? What happens if you take added sugars out of your diet for a while? How do you feel? How does your children's behaviour fare? It doesn't really matter what the scientists think or prove - what works for you?
And PLEASE - always ask yourself who is making money off this... if you read an article by "herbalife" be cautioned - they are trying to sell you. If a researcher says something - you should wonder - "who is paying for the research?" Who is benefitting?
Here are some places that talk about these things!
