BANANA SOFT SERVE AND VARIATIONSDairy Free - Fat free - Sweet - Cold and Delicious!
Note: for a lower-glycemic version I have read (but not tried) that you can use frozen pears At least 24 hrs before making softserve peel and freeze bananas (I break them in half) Put 2 bananas (4 halves) into the bowl of a food processor or high powered blender. Blend until it breaks in to tiny pieces, then keep blending (scape down if necessary) and keep on processing until it pulls together - keep blending until it turns into a smooth, creamy mixture like soft-serve ice cream. (If you you're having trouble getting it to mix just add a little bit of "milk" and blend away!) VARIATIONS: -make some honey chocolate and coat some rice krispies or other cereal and chill - stir in -add nuts, or other crunchy add ins -add other frozen fruit to the mix and have strawberry, mango, blueberry.... |
