You can make your own syrup! Yes you can!
BASIC PANCAKE SYRUP
4 cups sugar (whichever you prefer - honey, coconut sugar, xylitol or a mixture)
2 cups water (less if you choose honey!)
Bring to a simmer and simmer uncovered for 5 min.
Do not burn!
Allow to cool.
Add vanilla, or maple flavour if you want.
No need to refrigerate.
COFFEE SYRUPS
Use the basic syrup above.
Add LOTS of extract flavour (so you don't use as much in your coffee)
vanilla, mint, almond, hazelnut, cocoa....
No need to refrigerate.
FRUIT SYRUP
Use the basic syrup and add as much fruit as you do sugar (just use the ratios if you want to make less)
Simmer, strain.
This needs to be refrigerated because of the fruit.
